Justicia Friese Over five years into my personal yoga practice, I have delightfully witnessed clarification in my physical, emotional and spiritual bodies. Exposed to countless styles of yoga, I am most inspired by the Vinyasa traditions of Astanga and Baptiste, and am also deeply dedicated to the playful, connective AcroYoga practice. Motivated strongly by Karmic Yoga and Non-Violent Communication, I seek to increase access to yoga among underserved populations, and encourage all students to express their inner selves honestly, freely and compassionately. I believe in teaching to a student's highest potential, and my classes offer a playful yet disciplined integration of alignment and breath. I feel abundantly blessed to be living my dream and sharing
this joyful practice.

Keith Mitchell has been practicing ashtanga yoga since 2000, kundalini yoga since 2002 and Anusara since 2006. Traditional trained in ashtanga and currently practicing the second series and the beginning postures of the third series bring a solid groundwork for a vinyasa class with him. Having studied with of the first Americans to learn the ashtanga system, Nancy Gilgoff, K. Pattabhi Jois, the original proponent of this system and several certified teachers ensures his traditional approach to the ashtanga system of yoga. In any class you can find elements of all three of the above styles which are all strong influences in his personal practice. Having studied with Shiva Rea and Saul David Raye (having also studied Thai yoga massage with the latter) numerous times he is drawn towards the Prana Vinyasa style they both draw from, creating a constant flow that is drawn from within. He also brings the alignment principles from Anusara into any class, drawing from the teachings of senior Anusara teacher Desiree Rumbaugh and former senior teacher Mitchel Bleier and from local affiliated teacher Jan Herzog, using said principles to bring the heart centered energy to the surface. He also continues to practice kundalini yoga with local teacher Nancy Lewis. The importance of yoga for him is gaining strength (both mental and physical) to dig deep down and pulling from internal resources to work your way through the tougher aspects of a practice, therefore finding out who you truly are within and growing as a being from there, hopefully spreading the light that resides deep within us all.
